Are you feeling anxious, burnt out and overwhelmed? Are you looking to take care of yourself in ways that feel meaningful and using tools which feel like things you want to do?
Creative Calm is for you.
You’re feeling stagnant, anxious and you’re burnt out. You’ve got tunnel vision, you’re struggling with problem solving and it’s ages since you tried something new.
Creative Calm is a balm for an anxious and busy mind. It’s an eight session programme of 1:1 sessions exploring how a regular creative practice can help you manage anxiety, solve problems, think differently and take control of your wellbeing. Unlock your creativity and reclaim your wellbeing through a series of sessions rooted in transformational coaching, psychology and research.
If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stagnant and you can’t remember the last time you tried something new, this programme is for you.
We’re living through a mental health crisis. 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem (like anxiety and depression) in any given week in England.
In reality, this means if you and five of your mates were having dinner, one of you could be experiencing anxiety or depression over your Pasta Bolognese. Everyone feels anxious or sad sometimes, but the key is to figure out tools we can utilise to prevent either of those getting out of control. One of the biggest tools in my arsenal? Creativity.

Six signs you need more creativity in your life
-
#1: You’re feeling stagnant
Sometimes life just feels a bit too much and we can find ourselves slipping into the same patterns. We get up, go to work, come home, make dinner, go to bed and repeat. Adding something creative into your day, week or month can spark innovative thinking. Even just shaking up the order of your day or taking a different route to work can be enough.
-
#2: You’re anxious
One of the best things for an overactive brain is mindfulness. That word gives a lot of people the ick BUT creativity is a great way to reach a meditative state. Finding ‘flow’ in an activity, when you’re distracted from the world around you, has been billed as “the secret to happiness”. Doing something creative can help you find flow - something it’s hard to grasp hold of in our attention grabbing world
-
#3: You’re burnt out
Burnout may well be another term which gives you the ick. If you’re feeling demotivated, disconnected, if you’re procrastinating, exhausted, struggling with self-doubt or struggling with things that used to come easily to you, you might be burnt out. Getting rid of some of the noise in your head by engaging in creative pursuits can help us start to make room for ideas and gain space for creativity to flow.
-
#4: You’ve got tunnel vision
You’ve stopped looking at what’s going on around you. You’ve stopped being curious. You’ve stopped daydreaming. You can only see what’s right in front of you. Creativity can help us expand our vision, our minds and our ideas.
-
#5: Problem solving is feeling fudgey
Problem solving is a prime example of how everyone is creative. If you’ve ever been in a situation and seen your way out of it, you’ve engaged in creative thinking. If problem solving is feeling clunky, that’s a sure fire sign you need more creativity in your life.
-
#6: It’s ages since you tried something new
If it’s been a while since you said “I tried this really cool thing the other day”, make a pledge to yourself to do it soon. Seeking new creative endeavours increases endorphins, gives you new ideas and switches up your thinking.
